Permits

Performing work in the port requires a work permit. The work permit is issued by the client or the stevedoring supervisor. The same applies to a hot work permit if the nature of the work requires it. Obtaining a hot work permit requires a valid hot work card.

Emergencies

Call emergency number 112 immediately when:

you need urgent assistance from authorities, or
you know or suspect that life, health, property, or the environment is at risk or threatened.

Checklist:

Use only approved, safe, and intact tools and equipment.
Always use personal protective equipment suitable and approved for each task, such as safety goggles, gloves, and protective clothing.
Use a fall protection device when working at heights or if there is a risk of falling.
Use approved life jackets when working at the edges of quay areas, on shores, or at sea.
The work area must be cordoned off or at least marked with flag lines, cones, or similar.
In work machines and other work vehicles, the flashing beacon and reverse alarm must be switched on.
